On farm testing continues
Over the last month Milkalyser’s technical team have been busy out on farm. Following on from successful tests installation in a robotic parlour, we have now installed Milkalyser in a large rotary parlour. With three units in regular operation we are able to refine the infrastructure associated with installation, including power supply and interfaces to third-party systems.Continuing to test Milkalyser on farm also allows us to assess the performance of Milkalyser. Using an external, industry-standard lab test for progesterone, we are able to reliably validate the Milkalyser system. We have also began to compare Milkalyser’s results against existing farm fertility records. This allows us to establish how we can use Milkalyser to influence standard operating procedures on farm and improve fertility management. Further on farm testing will also allow us to gain a real insight into the benefits of installing Milkalyser, and the impact the system can have on a variety of farms.
